The Department of Languages and Literature (School of Humanities and Social Sciences) of the University of Nicosia is pleased to announce the Advances in Second/Foreign Language Acquisition: Heritage Language Acquisition and Learning international conference, the fourth edition of the ASeFoLA series. ASeFoLA 2025 will take place online on 24 May 2025.
Our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations guides our choice to conduct the conference exclusively online this year. By aligning with SDG4 (Quality Education for All), SDG10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG13 (Climate Action), we prioritize minimizing travel-related pollution and promoting inclusivity, supporting a sustainable and responsible approach to global collaboration. ASeFoLA aims to bring together researchers from around the world who are working to better understand the second/foreign language acquisition process. The special focus of this edition is on Heritage Language Acquisition and Learning and the conference will accept submissions on this topic. |
